Barbara Naa Okailey Nyarko, better known by her stage name OV, is a Ghanaian artist who has spoken candidly about how her ambition of getting married was dashed.
OV claims that on the day of their wedding, her fiancé called off their nuptials and ended their engagement.
“I was about to get married, but I was stood up. I was in my wedding gown, my make-up and hair were done, and my family was waiting at my godfather’s house, which was the venue,” she recounted on Accra-based Angel FM.
Despite withholding the year, she claimed that a text message caused their breakup.
She claimed that although the experience devastated her, she eventually managed to get over it.
“I suddenly received a text from him telling me that he couldn’t marry me anymore and was traveling abroad, but I think he had already left. I was hurt and disappointed, but I’ve moved on since then,” she said.
When asked whether there was a chance she may reconnect with her ex, OV shot out, “We may get married and do everything alright but I will mafia him.”
