The star-studded event, held on Sunday, December 24, at the Teshie Preparatory School Astroturf, witnessed famous artist King Promise’s amazing abilities on the football field.
King Promise’s 5 Star squad won, with the artist himself scoring three goals in two thrilling matches, demonstrating both physical prowess and a loving attitude.
Mr. Eazi’s Choplife squad, Smallgod’s team, King Promise’s 5 Star team, and Ghana DJ’s team competed in a remarkable display of sportsmanship and togetherness.
The Choplife Foundation successfully generated a hefty $300,000 via the united efforts of the participating celebrities and organizers to give help for financially challenged patients’ hospital costs.
The Celebrity Charity Cup event was blessed by the attendance of stars from several fields, including Jamaica’s fastest man Asafa Powell, Black Stars athletes Gideon Mensah and Hans Nunoo Sarpei, and artists Lasmid and DancegodLloyd.
The event gathered a large audience of fans anxious to see their favorite performers in action while also contributing to a good cause.
The competition featured tense encounters, with King Promise’s squad mounting a miraculous comeback against Ghana DJ in the first round and winning 3-1.
The final, which pitted King Promise’s 5 Star squad against Mr Eazi’s Choplife team, lived up to the hype, concluding in an exciting penalty shootout.
In a thrilling finish, Black Stars left-back Gideon Mensah scored the game-winning goal for King Promise’s 5 Star squad, securing the Celebrity Charity Cup gala trophy.
