A 35-year-old mason allegedly committed suicide in a chamber in Buokrom, Ashanti Region.
The young guy is believed to have committed himself after a woman he had supported financially informed him he was not the sort of man she wanted to date.
Frederick Adu, an Assembly member who validated the incident, stated that the young man spent a lot of money on the young woman in the hopes of dating her.
He informed Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5 FM that the young man had been recognized as Paul Owusu.
He stated that the young man was found hanging in his room.
The Assembly member stated that his master mason’s efforts to reach the young guy were useless, and when they went to his home to look for him, they discovered him hanging.
He claimed that the mason had also handed the young lady GHC15,000 to retain for him, but when he returned for the money, the lady refused to return it.
He went on to say that the lady rebuffed the mason’s calls and informed him that he was not her class to date.
The master of the masons also acknowledged that the dead had financed the young lady’s schooling.
