According to Nhyira FM Sports, Manhyia is still considering keeping Dr. Kwame Kyei as the board chairman of Asante Kotoko.
The 2020-inaugurated 12-member board chaired by Dr. Kyei no longer has a mandate.
This week, the board is anticipated to present its reports to Manhyia before making a final choice.
However, it is anticipated that Dr. Kyei, who was first named Chief Executive Officier (CEO) in 2016, will continue in her role as board chairman.
Saddick Adams, a former striker, scored a hat trick in the first half when Asante Kotoko memorably upset Hearts of Oak to win the MTN FA Cup at the Tamale Sports Stadium under his direction as the CEO.
Kotoko also had a significant effect in Africa under Dr. Kyei, despite being eliminated from the group stage by Zesco United following a 2-1 loss.
According to the rumors, Frederick Acheampong, the former CEO of AshantiGold and a member of the Executive Council, would likely be nominated to lead the administration of Asante Kotoko.
However, Nana Yaw Ampaong’s administration of Kotoko has been disbanded as a result of the end of their term.
The board received Mr. Amponsah’s three-year report last week.
Before the commencement of the September 2023–24 Ghana Premier League season, the new board and management are anticipated to be introduced.
