Manhunt for Suspect in Kumasi Shooting Incident that Killed Woman

The police in Kumasi are on the hunt for a man who allegedly shot and killed a woman at close range in Adum, Kumasi. The incident happened on Thursday night, April 20, 2023, around Dufie Towers behind Aseda House. The victim, identified as 26-year-old Victoria Dapaa, also known as Maa Adwoa, was shot five times at close range and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

Eyewitnesses say that the man was seen talking to the deceased before the shooting occurred. He then proceeded to fire five shots, with the victim pleading for him to stop after the first two shots. The man then fled the scene in a rickshaw. According to reports, the suspect is yet to be identified, and the motive for the shooting is unknown.
