In Nsuotem-Congo, a town in the Atwima Mponua District of the Asante Region, a man named Salinko, 40, is said to have viciously attacked and killed his buddy, Felih Nyamekye, following a disagreement about sleeping arrangements.
Following the horrifying incident, in which he allegedly used a cutlass to inflict many fatal wounds on Felih Nyamekye, Salinko, a farmer in the same village, is presently eluding law enforcement.
The deceased’s daughter, Abena Felih, described the event to Adom News, stating that Salinko had come to their house in the middle of the night looking for a place to sleep in her father’s room.
Salinko got combative, brandishing a cutlass, and challenged Nyamekye to face him outdoors after being denied permission.
Tragically, the altercation grew more heated, and Salinko killed Nyamekye.
Nyamekye was quickly taken to the Bibiani Government Hospital, where efforts were made to save his life. Tragically, however, he passed away from his wounds not long after.
The deceased’s brother, Kwasi Dagati, revealed that Salinko has now disappeared and that the family has reported him missing to the police in Bibiani.
Nyamekye’s body has already been sent to the Bibiani morgue, and inquiries into the upsetting occurrence are still ongoing.
