Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the Majority Chief Whip and MP for Nsawam/Adoagyiri Constituency, has taken steps towards improving healthcare in his constituency by cutting the sod for the construction of an ultra-modern maternity block at the Nsawam Government Hospital. The project, which is set to have five special wards, delivery beds, doctor’s consulting rooms, and other ancillary areas, is expected to boost healthcare delivery in the constituency.

This development comes after the MP presented a cheque of GH¢50,000 from his MP’s Common Fund to the hospital’s Health Fund, which paved the way for the construction of the new maternity ward. The project is a welcomed addition to the hospital, as the current maternity ward has limited bed space, causing congestion and inconvenience to patients.

The Health Minister, Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, signed the contract for the project two months ago, and the project is set to be completed in a timely manner. In addition to this project, Frank Annoh-Dompreh recently donated 10 pulse oximeters worth $20,000 to the hospital. The devices will be useful in measuring the oxygen saturation in patients, which is vital in delivering quality healthcare.

During the sod-cutting ceremony, the MP hinted at plans to build the first Christian Teaching Hospital at Nsawam to reduce the pressure on the health emergency center. He expressed his commitment to improving health delivery in the constituency and further pledged his support for the hospital.

The MP’s initiative to improve healthcare in the constituency is commendable, and his efforts have been well received by the community. His commitment to improving health delivery in the area is a testament to his dedication to serving his constituents.
