John Mahama, the presumed nominee for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), will resume his statewide campaign tour on April 11, 2023, following a pause to commemorate Easter celebrations.
Prior to touring the Oti Region, he would first pay a visit to the Eastern Region and then several areas of the Greater Accra Region.
John Mahama will be in the Eastern Region for three days and will campaign in 31 Constituencies, according to Joyce Bawah Mogtari, his spokeswoman.
“National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential hopeful John Dramani Mahama will continue his national campaign on Tuesday following the Easter celebrations with a three-day trip to the Eastern Region.
Thirty-one (31) seats will be visited by Mr. Mahama, who will meet and speak with branch and constituency officials there. He has visited 106 constituencies while touring 7 areas so far.
Her announcement read, “In the Eastern area, former President Mahama will speak to his vision of Creating the Ghana we want together, and why earning a convincing win in the NDC primaries will be a huge boost for the 2024 presidential election.
John Mahama will “discuss his objectives for boosting the party’s polling and electoral area campaign, including voter mobilisation and canvassing, and the effective exploitation of campaign materials and resources,” in addition to articulating his vision for the country’s growth.
Given his previous outstanding performance and the large fan base he commands, John Mahama is predicted to win the flagbearership contest by a wide majority. Both Dr. Kwabena Duffuor and the former mayor of Kumasi, Kojo Bonsu, are perceived as candidates who are more interested in making a statement for the future than in winning the flagbearership election.
