Local Philanthropist Donates Three Tonnes of Iron Rods Towards Apremdo Community Centre Project

Jonathan Y. Yankey, a native of Apremdo Community in the Western Region, has donated three tonnes of iron rods worth GH¢24,600 to support the construction of the Apremdo Community Centre Project. The initiative led by the Divisional Chief of Apremdo, Nana Egya Kwamina XI, will comprise a conference hall, a mausoleum, a library, offices, and 12 bedrooms for visitors.

The philanthropist, Mr Yankey, was inspired to make the donation after the community centre, which is currently under construction, hosted many of the guests who attended his father’s funeral three weeks ago. In a statement, Mr Yankey shared that his family was delighted to see the edifice being useful during their father’s funeral, and he is pleased to offer this donation to ensure the project’s timely completion.
