Dr. Adam Bonaa, a security expert, has remarked that the attempts by senior police officers to ruin the nation are terrible.
This follows Mr. Bugri Naabu’s explanation of how one Commander Asare called him to remove the IGP and install Commissioner Mensah in accordance with the NPP’s plan to Break The 8 to the seven-member committee of Parliament probing the recorded encounter.
He said that he gave President Akufo-Addo a copy of the tape so he could hear it for himself.
On Starr Today with Joshua Kodjo Mensah, the security expert discussed the Parliamentary hearing and praised the Committee for posing questions that the Ghanaian people would anticipate.
“Just that it is sad if we are going by today’s account alone. I will say that it is sad that senior officers will attempt to destroy the country in this manner. It is said so sad I must confess,” Mr. Bonaa added.
In the meantime, Mr. Bugri Naabu has also stated that the accusations made against the IGP by certain senior officers who approached him were rejected by the three members of the Police Council he met.
“I called some members of the police council, about three of them, about what they have said about the IGP, and they all said it is not true so I decided to let the President know about.”
“I was also surprised someone who was going on retirement wanted to be IGP. So I told him that his leadership is by God so he should go and see the chief Imam or Asantehene so they can pray for him,” Bugri Naabu told a parliamentary committee probing the leaked tape in which some police officers were heard plotting the removal of the IGP.
