King Faisal’s assistant coach, Godwin Ablordey, has stated that the team’s main focus is on securing their place in the Ghana Premier League rather than winning the FA Cup. Despite making it to the semi-finals of the FA Cup, Ablordey believes that staying in the Premier League is more important for the team’s future.

Following a goalless draw with Aduana Stars, King Faisal emerged victorious on penalties, putting them two wins away from winning their first-ever FA Cup. However, Ablordey’s attention is set on the Ghana Premier League, where King Faisal is currently in 10th place with points after 25 matches.

Speaking after the game, Ablordey said, “I’m not thinking about FA Cup. I’m thinking about the league because we have to stay in the league. FA Cup when you are out you can still play so we are just concentrating on the league so that we make sure we stay in the league. So this is our focus now. FA Cup, we are going to the semi-finals but it’s down. We are thinking of the league now.”

King Faisal’s next league match will be against Dreams FC on April 16, and Ablordey believes that it’s crucial for the team to secure a win. He said, “We need to win the match against Dreams FC to boost our morale and make sure we are in the league next season.”

Despite their success in the FA Cup, King Faisal is currently battling to stay in the Ghana Premier League, which is the country’s top-flight football league. The team is facing tough competition from other teams, but Ablordey is confident that they will secure their place in the league.

King Faisal’s assistant coach has prioritized the team’s survival in the Ghana Premier League over winning the FA Cup. The team’s focus is on securing wins in their remaining league matches to ensure that they stay in the league next season. Winning the FA Cup would be a bonus, but it’s not their main objective at the moment.
