According to a recent rumor validated by respectable sports media, Karim Benzema has allegedly agreed to a new one-year contract extension with Real Madrid and is expected to leave the organization in 2024.

According to The UK Mirror, Benzema recently declined a tempting invitation to visit Saudi Arabia.

The Frenchman would have followed his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, who completed a stunning transfer to Al-Nassr in January, if he had decided to quit the La Liga winners.

Benzema, last year’s Ballon d’Or winner, is still an important player for Real Madrid. In total, he scored 44 goals, 15 of which came during their Champions League run.

The 35-year-old has scored 25 goals so far this season even though they are prepared to give up their La Liga title.

Real Madrid advanced to the UEFA Champions League semifinals on Tuesday at Stamford Bridge by defeating Chelsea 2-0 total and 4-0 overall. Real Madrid made it to the last four for the tenth time in the previous twelve seasons thanks to Rodrygo’s two goals on the evening.
