Alannah Myles reportedly suffered from Ankylosing spondylitis. Ankylosing spondylitis is an inflammatory disease that can cause some of the spinal vertebrae to fuse over time.
As a result, Myles’s spine is less flexible. which ends up paralyzing her.
She appeared in The Kids of Degrassi Street, a 1984 episode of the television series, where she played the role of an aspiring singer and single mother. Myles signed her first record contract with Atlantic Records in 1987 and released her eponymous debut album in 1989.
