A letter that explains why they wanted to terminate their life is frequently left behind by people who have committed suicide.
An alleged incident of this kind occurred on Tuesday, July 4 at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) by a male medical student.
The alleged student made an attempt at suicide by leaping from the Brunie Complex’s top floor in a video that went viral on social media.
Some students dragged him up from the balcony and prevented his attempt to end his life.
But before that, he is said to have written a note before his death outlining his motivation for doing what he did. The medical student, whose identity has been concealed to preserve his mental health, said that he had been seeing demon sightings and had been suffering from sleep paralysis for close to two years.
After that tragic night’s prayer, he related how he ran across a demon.
I’ve been seeing demons and even heard one speak. Because I’m so rational, I know many people will assume I’m making things up, but so be it. By now, I doubt I’m still alive.
Apparently, “Stupid boy” was the demon’s exact words.
Also dealing with despair was the student. With all of them, he “didn’t think there was reason enough to live.”
