It would be sacrilegious for the Parliament of Ghana to approve Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex (LGBTQI+) activities in the nation, according to renowned Ghanaian gospel musician Ohemaa Mercy, born Mercy Amoah.
She claims that since God disapproves of homosexuality, legalising it will bring his vengeance upon the nation.
“I sit here and declare with authority that if homosexuality is allowed, the nation will experience God’s wrath. I speak in the name of all Christians when I declare that we will not give up in our fight for the country’s future. This should not be supported in any way since it has the potential to destroy a nation.
According to the Gospel Minister, homosexuality is forced upon humans by a spirit. “I think a ghost is behind it. High-profile individuals are transformed by this spirit into creatures in need of special care from God. They shouldn’t legalise it, but in my opinion, the Church should welcome those involved and pray for them.
