In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, the VGMA 2017 Artiste of the Year, stated, “I think I should have taken my music lessons seriously when I was in school. At that time, I didn’t know I would be taking it up one day so I didn’t take it seriously. That is one regret I have in life.”
Despite this sorrow, Joe Mettle has built a strong musical career that includes seven albums, several accolades, a recording facility called Reverb, and the well-known band Love Gift.
Joe Mettle discussed his satisfaction with the person he has become and the road God has set for him as he looked back on his journey.
Outside of the music industry, Joe Mettle revealed his happiness over his marriage to Salomey Selassie Dzisa, whom he wed in 2020.
Joe Mettle also expressed his gratitude to his fans for their unwavering support. He said, “I want to say thank you for supporting the gift and ministry God has given me. I believe that ministry is about people. So if they don’t support you, you have no ministry. Thank you for the prayers, the thoughts, and everything you do to support what God has called me to do.”
