Benjamin Komla Kpodo, a Member of Parliament (MP) representing Ho Central, has asked for quick assistance for Ho Municipality residents after severe rains forced dozens of people from their homes last Saturday.
According to Mr. Kpodo, anyone affected by the recent flooding catastrophe must not be left to their own devices and must receive assistance from the government.
The politician bemoaned the disastrous effects of the flood, which destroyed property, left some locals homeless, and others without a means of support, in a speech on the floor of Parliament on Thursday.
The politician emphasized the urgent need for immediate action to provide relief and assistance to those affected by the flood. He called upon the government to allocate the necessary funds and resources to help rebuild the affected areas and ensure that all displaced individuals receive proper support in their recovery process.
The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) has been urged by the MP to help victims in the neighborhood.
The MP emphasized that the victims’ current situation need immediate care.
He has consequently urged the administration to take care of the populace as soon as is practical.
