Mr. Happy Agbenyenu, the CEO of Happy Royal International School (HaRIS), has demonstrated his commitment to supporting the Ghanaian military by constructing a seven-unit block to serve as accommodation for officers at the Airforce Military Base in Accra. The dilapidated block was reconstructed and handed over to the base as single-bedroom self-contained units.

Mr. Agbenyenu also constructed a borehole for the Airforce Military Base, which would provide water for the base and its surrounding communities. He expressed his desire to provide a conducive environment for officers to live and work, and his motivation to undertake the project was inspired by the poor state of the building during a visit to a friend at the base.

The reconstructed building features improved ventilation, spacious rooms, a kitchenette, a hall, and a washroom, which would provide officers with a comfortable living space. This, in turn, is expected to reduce the extent to which a large number of officers and airmen seek to sleep.

Mr. Agbenyenu expressed his appreciation to all those who contributed to the successful completion of the project, including the masons and laborers who worked on the building. He hopes that the facility would be put to good use and well-maintained to ensure its longevity.

In an interview, Mr. Agbenyenu pledged his continuous support for the military, and expressed his willingness to undertake similar projects to support the armed forces.

For the most part, Mr. Agbenyenu’s gesture is a reflection of the need to support the military and provide them with the necessary infrastructure to enable them to carry out their duties efficiently. The Airforce Military Base, like many other military installations across the country, requires support from individuals and organizations to provide the necessary amenities to enhance the quality of life of military personnel.

We must all recognize the sacrifices made by our armed forces in ensuring peace and stability in our country. Their contribution to national development cannot be overemphasized, and we must all support them in any way we can. Mr. Agbenyenu’s project is a commendable initiative, and we hope that others will emulate his example and support the military in any way they can.
