Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani is a Qatari politician. He served previously as the Prime Minister of Qatar from 3 April 2007 to 26 June 2013. He also served as foreign minister from 11 January 1992 to 26 June 2013. He is currently one of the most influential figures in Qatar politics.

Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani started his career in politics in 1982. He was first appointed Director of the Office of the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture. In 1989, he was appointed Minister of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture.

In 1992, he was appointed Foreign Minister until 2013. In 2003, he was appointed First Deputy Prime Minister, and in 2007, he was appointed Prime Minister.
