Bechem United’s Hafiz Konkoni has expressed his desire to join either Hearts of Oak or Asante Kotoko if they make an offer for his services. The striker, who currently leads the Ghana Premier League top scorers’ chart with 14 goals, is attracting interest from several clubs.

Konkoni, a former Bolga All-Stars forward, stated that he has no preference between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko, as they are the two biggest teams in the country. He added that if he receives an offer from either team, he would consider it.

For the most part, Hearts of Oak have struggled to find the back of the net this season, with their top scorers, centre-back Caleb Amankwah and Benjamin Yorke, only managing four goals each. With their marksman, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, having left for Zurich FC, Konkoni could be the solution to the Phobians’ attacking woes.

Asante Kotoko, on the other hand, could be on the lookout for another striker to boost their goal-scoring rate, especially if they decide to keep Stephen Mukwala, who is currently in contention for the top scorer’s award.

Meanwhile, Bechem United are hot on the heels of Aduana Stars on the league log, with the Hunters trailing the Ogya Boys by just three points. It remains to be seen if Konkoni’s potential departure will affect Bechem United’s push for the top.

In conclusion, Hafiz Konkoni’s comments will certainly pique the interest of Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko, as they both look to bolster their attacking options ahead of next season. With Konkoni in top form this season, he could prove to be a valuable asset to whichever team he ends up joining.
