Nana Ayi Quaye, the Ankobeahene of Gomoa Nyanyano in the Gomoa East district of the Central Region, has raised the alarm on the increasing land guard activity in the area and is urgently requesting the Inspector General of Police’s (IGP) help.
The growing land guard actions in Gomoa Nyanyano and its surrounding enclaves, which have left developers living in terror and panic, Nana Ayi Quaye raised significant worries about.
According to Nana Ayi Quaye in an interview with Adom News, the Gomoa East Assembly has previously made steps to restrict land guard operations in the region.
However, despite these instructions, land guards have consistently disobeyed them and now harass both residents and developers.
In order to safeguard the safety and security of the locals and investors in Gomoa Nyanyano, Nana Ayi Quayere urged swift action to be taken against land guard actions in the region.
When Director of Kasapa Center Limited gave acres of land to four government organizations, including the Ghana Police Service and the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), among others, Nana Ayi Quaye made these words.
Speaking on behalf of the other state institutions, ASP Francis Kumi, the district crime officer for Gomoa Nyanyano, said that they would work tirelessly to reestablish order and security in the community.
Kofi Acheampong, Director of Kasapa Center Limited, urged Ghanaians to help the Ghana Police Service and other government agencies by giving the logistical support needed to increase their efficiency in service delivery.
