The Moderator of the Global Evangelical Church (GEC), Rt. Rev. Prosper Samuel Dzomeku, has urged Ghanaians to involve God in their daily activities in order to overcome the current economic challenges facing the country. Speaking at the Induction Service for two Directors of the church, Rev. Wisdom Ayitey and Mr Solomon Dziekpor, the Moderator emphasized the need for individuals and the nation to repent and involve God in every area of life for a quick turnaround.
In his sermon, the Moderator stated that God is holy and expects his children to be holy as well. He further urged Ghanaians to choose to live a holy life wherever they find themselves, as their current predicaments will change. He pointed out that the country’s current challenges stem from the failure to be faithful at work, including financial authorities mismanaging funds and forming NGOs to enrich themselves at the expense of the beneficiaries.
The Moderator reminded his listeners that God is watching, and will come again to reward or punish individuals based on their deeds. He thus called on Ghanaians to repent from the sins of corruption, LGBTQIA, and the wanton destruction of the environment and water bodies through galamsey, among others, and exhibit Godly values to attract his blessings.
The Induction Service was attended by various dignitaries, including Dr Archibald Letsa, the Volta Regional Minister, and traditional rulers, among others, drawn from academia, industry, the security agencies, and civil society. The Synod Clerk of the Church, Rev. Dr Yohanes Ahiabu, presented the Directors for the Induction Rites. Rev. Wisdom Ayitey, the DPDSS, holds a Master of Science Degree in Management from the University of Glamorgan, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in French and Spanish from the University of Ghana, Legon.
In a nutshell, the Moderator of the Global Evangelical Church has called on Ghanaians to involve God in their daily activities in order to overcome the current economic challenges facing the country. He urged individuals and the nation to repent and exhibit Godly values in order to attract his blessings.
