Four Persons Trapped in a Road Accident on Buipe-Tamale Highway

A road accident involving two DAF vehicles occurred on the Buipe-Tamale highway in the Savannah Region, leaving four people trapped. The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) had to cut the vehicles to rescue the trapped individuals.

According to eye witness accounts, the driver of the DAF with registration number BF 6161-D 503 was speeding when it hit the rear of the other DAF with registration number WR 2280-14, causing the accident.

Three of the four trapped individuals were rushed to the Buipe District Hospital, while the fourth person, who suffered critical injuries, was sent to the Tamale Teaching Hospital for treatment. The cause of the accident was primarily due to speeding, according to personnel from the Savanna Fire Regional Command.

It is essential to exercise caution while on the road, especially on highways, to avoid accidents. In addition, road users must ensure that their vehicles are in good condition and not exceed the speed limit.
