Former SRC President of the Ghana School of Law, Wonder Victor Kutor has been called to the Bar. He was among the 196 graduates who were called to the Bar by the outgoing Chief Justice, His Lordship Justice Kwasi Anin Yeboah at a ceremony held earlier today.

Mr. Kutor’s call to the Bar was initially delayed due to his inability to complete his internship after studying at the University of North Florida, Jacksonville, Florida. However, he completed his internship in January this year after his return from the United States.

During the ceremony, his name was mentioned, and the audience gave him a resounding applause when he went to collect his certificate.

This year’s call also recorded the presence of another former president of the SRC of the Ghana School of Law, Mr. Philemon Laar, who was the SRC president for the 2020/2021 academic year.

In addition to being a newly called lawyer, Mr. Kutor is also a member of the National Executive Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He was elected in December 2022 and currently serves as the Secretary of the Appeals Committee for the party’s Parliamentary primaries in the Bono/Ahafo regions, which will be held on May 13th of this year.

For the most part, this year seems to have been a significant one for Mr. Kutor, as he also got married to another lawyer in February this year. The couple met while studying at the Law School.

Mr. Kutor, a former student of Tema Day Secondary school, attended the University of Ghana and the University of London before enrolling at the Ghana School of Law. He is currently a student at the University of North Florida.

At the ceremony, the outgoing Chief Justice, His Lordship Justice Anin Yeboah presented Mr. Kutor with his certificate to practice as a lawyer. This was the last call ceremony the Chief Justice performed before his retirement on May 24th, 2023.
