The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a warning about the availability of an unregistered bottled water, SLIMFIT mineral water, on the market.
In a press statement issued on Friday, January 19, the FDA stated that the legally recognized trademark is SLEMFIT (mineral water and purified water), which is made by Twellium Industrial Company Limited.
“The FDA wishes to assure the public that its surveillance teams are monitoring the markets to remove the unregistered SLIMFIT mineral water from trade and also to find the producers and distributors,” the statement read.
The FDA further encouraged the public to avoid purchasing unregistered items, stating that their safety and quality cannot be assured.
Furthermore, the FDA asked customers to be cautious when purchasing packaged products and to report any questionable items to the FDA for early regulatory action.
The message continued with a request to the public to offer pertinent information to help the FDA with its efforts, including contact information for complaints and communication.
