Rev. Lawrence Tetteh, Founder and President of Worldwide Miracle Outreach, believes elections should not be fought over, and he urges political parties to guarantee that the 2024 elections are fair and transparent.
He stressed the need of political parties practicing democracy without resorting to violence as the country prepares for presidential and legislative elections.
Rev. Lawrence Tetteh gave these statements on New Year’s Eve at the Old Obra Spot in Accra, during a nationwide prayer event entitled “Come, Let’s Pray for a Peaceful and Transparent Election.”
“They should remember that politics is not war, elections are not war, and democracy is not war. We should be able to practice democracy devoid of insults. This year’s elections should be clean, fair, and transparent,” he advised.
The Founder and President of Worldwide Miracle Outreach also recommended political parties, particularly major parties, to desist from utilizing well-built males known as ‘macho guys’ to terrify voters during the election.
“The youth shouldn’t be abused, our macho men shouldn’t be used and if people are used to causing chaos because of their deprived situation, they should wake up to the responsibility and the challenge that they will also answer when the nation gets doomed,” he asserted.
