While attending preps in the evening, a student from Ejisuman SHS was assaulted with a machete by a suspected robber.
The victim, a final-year student, had severe head and eye injuries.
Charles Owusu, the victim’s father, informed Nhyira News that the suspect forcefully entered the classroom while brandishing a machete while covering his face with a cloth.
“My son was asked to give out his mobile phone, but he had none on him, which prompted the suspect to pounce on him. While they struggled, the handkerchief covering the suspect’s face came off, so my son saw him,” he narrated.
According to Mr. Owusu, the youngster immediately went to the dormitory to report the incident and later sought medical attention there.
A second-year student at the same institution has been named as the attacker’s suspect.
He has since been arrested and handed over to the Ejisu Police. The police has launched investigation to probe into the incident.
