E.T Mensah goes home today

The final chapter in the life of Enoch Teye Mensah, former Member of Parliament for the Ningo-Prampram constituency and distinguished member of the Council of State, will be written today, Friday, January 5, 2024.

The last burial service is set for the State House Forecourt, where friends, relatives, and well-wishers will gather to say their final farewell to the revered political figure.

The mortal remains of the late Enoch Teye Mensah were given the honor of laying in state at his Prampram mansion from 5 to 10 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2024. This pre-burial arrangement allowed friends, relatives, and the community to pay their respects and say goodbye to the late leader.

Enoch Teye Mensah, 77, died in South Africa in October 2023 after a protracted illness.

On October 10, 2024, the former Member of Parliament’s dead remains arrived in Ghana from South Africa.

From January 1997 until January 2017, he was known as E.T. Mensah and served as Minister of Education and Member of Parliament in Ghana.

He was a significant player in Ghanaian politics, married with seven children.
