Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, MP for Manhyia South and Minister of Energy, has pledged the entire support of Manhyia South delegates in the upcoming New Patriotic Party (NPP) elections to Vice President Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Bawumia is the finest candidate for the 2024 elections, according to Dr. Prempeh, who emphasises his excellent traits, experience, loyalty, and sacrifices for the party.

The Energy Minister highlights Bawumia’s capacity to bring together people from all walks of life and religious backgrounds, which is essential for the party’s effort to win a third term in office, or “breaking the 8” in NPP lingo.

The Vice President, out of all the contenders competing for the position of flagbearer, “has done a good job defending our government’s programmes and policies while serving as vice president, and she continues to be the only real danger to John Mahama and the NDC’s chances of winning elections,” he added.

Dr. Prempeh continues by stating that with the backing of Otumfuo Asantehene, who regards Dr. Bawumia as his son, he views Bawumia as his own father and vows his unshakable support for him in the competition.

Over the course of the next 11 days, the Vice President will go to the Ashanti Region, the NPP’s heartland, where he will meet with delegates in each of the 47 constituencies and explain why they should choose him as their party’s flagbearer over the other 9 candidates.
