Dr. Kwame Addo Kufuor awards Best Junior High School pupils with tablets

Twenty-seven students from the Daabaa D/A Basic Junior High School in the Atwima Nwabiagya North division of the Ashanti region have each earned an annual prize of a tablet for their achievements.

Dr. Kwame Addo Kufuor established the prize awards three years ago to recognize the top three academic performers in each JHS year level. (1,2&3).

Dr. Kwame Addo Kufuor, a former Minister of Defence and Interior and a sub-chief of the Daabaa Community, developed the reward system to supplement students’ academics with contemporary technology.

The presentation was attended by relatives and friends, as well as awardees and their instructors, at the Addo Kufuor family residence in Daabaa.

They were moved by the gesture.

The tablet prize, now in its third year, has helped boost students’ academic achievement, according to the headmistress of Daabaa D/A Basic JHS.

In an interview with Nhyira News, Madam Beatrice Kusi stated that the tablet rewards had motivated many of her students to work harder.

She also stated that it has aided the school’s achievement in the district’s inter-school “Spelling B” competition.

She urged the kind Dr. Addo Kufuor to continue his outstanding job in motivating students and raising school standards.
