The Essikado-Ketan Constituency is currently occupied by New Patriotic Party’s Joe Ghartey, who is expected to give up the seat to pursue the flagbearership slot of the NPP.
Koby Sebastion Spio-Garbrah is contesting 2020 Parliamentary Candidate Professor Grace Ayensu-Danquah for the slot.
Dr Spio-Garbrah also threw his support behind John Dramani Mahama as the candidate to save not only NDC supporters but Ghanaians as a whole from the current economic mismanagement under the Akufo-Addo administration.
Ghana needs rapid ideas from someone to turn the economic situation around, and John Dramani Mahama is the right candidate for the job. Dr Spio-Garbrah is calling on all NDC supporters to unite their resources and strengths behind President John Mahama to win the imminent flagbearership contest and also to win the 2024 general elections.
For the most part, this is a clear indication that Dr Spio-Garbrah has high hopes for his son to lead the Essikado-Ketan Constituency in the NDC parliamentary primaries. He is confident that Koby Sebastion Spio-Garbrah’s election will bring fireworks and change to the constituency.
The former minister’s endorsement of John Dramani Mahama also shows his belief that the former president is the right candidate to turn Ghana’s economic situation around. He believes that the current administration is mismanaging the economy, and Ghana needs someone with rapid ideas to change the situation.
In a nutshell, Dr Ekwow Spio-Garbrah has endorsed his son for the NDC parliamentary primaries and John Dramani Mahama for the NDC flagbearership. He is urging all NDC supporters to unite behind President John Mahama to win the 2024 general elections.
