Fuseini Issah, a disgraced former Member of Parliament (MP) for Okaikoi North, has vanished from official communications following a humiliating defeat.
This comes after Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah-Adjei, MP for Akuapem North, vacated her position on the mountain to beat the former Okaikwei North MP, who finished third.
Following his catastrophic defeat, the MP has vanished from prominent current affairs debate segments on Metro TV, TV3, and GhOne.
It is unclear when the former MP would terminate his “media strike” following his defeat.
The former MP is reportedly mocked inside the district after losing the seat to the NDC’s Theresa Awuni following his one-term victory.
His comeback effort ended in another humiliating defeat, as he finished second behind Dokua, who was driven out of her Akropong constituency by National Lottery Authority (NLA) Director General Sammi Awuku.
Party delegates in the constituency have accused Fuseini Issah of not being helpful to them during his term as MP.
Fuseini received fewer than 115 votes in the Okaikwei North constituency, trailing Akoto Alberta Afia Asomaniwa, who received 228 votes, and Nyarko Stephen Adipa, who received 108 votes.
Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah received over 350 votes to become the NPP’s parliamentary candidate in 2024.
Other candidates included Kenneth Kwabena Agyei Kuranchie received 27 votes and Prince Owusu Mensah who had 6 votes.
