The 74th episode of the TV show “Suits,” which is also the 14th episode of its fifth season, is called “Self Defense.” It was dedicated to Simon Paul Marsh, who was the uncle of Patrick J. Adams. This episode aired on February 17, 2016.
In this episode, Mike asks Benjamin for help in a fake trial. He wants Benjamin to create fake marriage documents and other paperwork, and Benjamin agrees.
When Mike asks Benjamin what he thinks about the accusations against him, Benjamin says he believes Mike was guilty from the start. He mentions that other Harvard graduates had overlooked their education and superiority in favour of Mike, who hadn’t done the same.
Harold Gunderson offers to testify that he went to Harvard with Mike, but Mike decides to approach Jimmy Kirkwood instead. Mike knows that Harold won’t be able to defend the false testimony in court.
Even though Mike warns Jimmy that if he’s found guilty, all of his cases, including the one he won for Jimmy’s aunt, would be thrown out, Jimmy refuses to lie and risks going to jail for Mike.
Jimmy gets upset and leaves but later shows up unexpectedly at the trial as a rebuttal witness. He provides detailed evidence that Mike did attend Harvard and that they were in a class together.
During Mike’s trial, Donna confesses to Anita Gibbs that Mike pretended to be someone else to get an interview with Harvey. She pleads the Fifth Amendment when asked further questions.

Simon passed away at the age of 56 after battling with pulmonary embolism. the “Self Defense” episode of Suits has been dedicated to him to honor his hard work.
