Dakota Johnson reveals ‘worst experience’ on The Office after going viral in ‘unbearable’ interview

Dakota Johnson has been promoting her new film “Madam Web,” and a couple of her interviews have generated attention.

Known for her memorable interview moments, including calling out Ellen DeGeneres and admitting to lying in an Architectural Digest interview about her love of limes, Johnson recently appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

During the interview, Meyers mentioned that they were “co-stars” in the “final episode” of the hit sitcom “The Office” in 2013. While Johnson expressed her admiration for the show, she confessed that filming her cameo was disappointing.

“That was honestly the worst time of my life,” she told Meyers. “They were like, ‘Do you want to be in the series finale?’ And I was like, ‘Of course,’ thinking that I’d show up for like half a day,” Johnson said. “I was there for two weeks. And I’m barely in the f***ing show.”

She went on to say that the atmosphere on site added to the unpleasantness.

“There were weird dynamics that had been going on for the last 10 years,” she added. “Some people didn’t speak to each other. And I’m coming in like ‘So excited to be here!’ No one wanted to talk to me. No one gave a f**k.”

Dakota Johnson sparked social media debate with her recent interview, where she appeared to become visibly “mad.” This occurred during an awkward exchange with a journalist at HuffPost, who asked her about a viral moment from the trailer of “Madam Web.”

“What was it?” she asked.

“It was a line that says: ‘He was in the Amazon with my mum when she was researching spiders right before she died,’” replied the interviewer.

A clearly confused Johnson said: “Why did that go viral?”

“I think it went viral because, out of context, what does it mean?” replied the journalist.

“Somebody brought this up earlier and I have no idea what it’s about. Isn’t any sentence out of context … out of context … what a silly thing,” she replied dryly. “He was in the Amazon researching spiders with my mum before she died. That seems like a basic storyline to me? Maybe I’m just underneath it.”

Fans rushed to share the clip on social media and cringe at Johnson’s responses, with one saying: “Damn, she looks mad. This is awkward.”

Another said: “She doesn’t seem likeable here,’ while a third said: “The silence is unbearable!”

However, others leapt to the movie star’s defence, saying: “I’m with Dakota, I don’t get it,” and another added: “The journalist didn’t explain it right. People were laughing because it’s overly expository.”

A third said in Johnson’s defence: “This is one of those cases where it’s not productive to bring up a viral meme to the actor in question because the joke’s on how bad the script is and it puts her in an uncomfortable position!”

Meanwhile, Johnson recently responded to criticism over her assertion that she requires “14 hours of sleep”.

“Why is sleep bad?” she asked in response to her 14-hour snoozes going viral. “Like, why? Leave me alone — I’m just asleep!”
