“Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family and friends, and our support is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this accident,” Marvel Studios said in a statement to CNN.

Los Angeles Police officers were called to CBS Radford Studios at around 6:55 am local time on Tuesday following the tragic incident. LAPD spokesperson Charles Miller stated that no foul play was suspected, and an investigation into the death was ongoing.

The new series “Wonder Man” was set to star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, known for his roles in “Aquaman” and HBO’s “Watchmen.” “Wonder Man” features a lesser-known Marvel character introduced in the 1960s. The project was announced in June 2022.

Filming began in early April 2023 and ended in late May owing to the SAG strike.

The series commenced production in early January 2024.

The program was scheduled to premiere on Disney+. It does not yet have a release date.
