Cook-a-thon: Haruna Iddrisu, Murtala, others show up to show support

A group of Ghanaian Members of Parliament invaded the Modern City Hotel in Tamale, the Northern Region’s capital, to assist Failatu Abdul Razak, a Ghanaian chef seeking to beat the current Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon.

Haruna Iddrisu, Member of Parliament for Tamale South, and Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, were among the lawmakers that visited the competition venue.

Haruna Iddrisu, speaking to the media during the visit on Monday, January 1, 2024, thanked Chef Failatu Abdul Razak for her effort.

He stated that the chef’s efforts had thrust Ghana, particularly Tamale, into the international limelight.

The former Minority Leader praised Ghanaians for their solidarity with Failatu Abdul Razak.

Haruna went on to say that he and his colleagues were present to urge the chef to break the cook-a-thon record, which would undoubtedly help Tamale and Ghana as a whole.
