Thanks to the American Soybean Association’s (ASA/WISHH) World Initiative for Soy in Human Health, the “Soy Flour for Bread & More” campaign will continue in Ghana this year.

In Ghana, the campaign, run in collaboration with the Yedent Agro Group of Companies, aims to promote the use of soy flour in baking.

The Little Cow Consulting Limited developed and will lead this year’s campaign, which will start on May 9, 2023. It will include a potent social media campaign as well as the second iteration of the hugely popular “Baking with Soy” training course.

“The ‘Baking with Soy’ training programme is designed to train commercial bakers on how to incorporate soy flour into their baking recipes,” ASA/WISHH claimed in a news release.

This gives baked foods enhanced texture and nutritional content in addition to a longer shelf life.

Activities
The programme, according to the statement, would include eight training sessions held between May and December in Accra, Tema, Sunyani, and Cape Coast, among other locations in Ghana.

Participants, it was stated, would take part in hands-on workshops on incorporating soy flour into baking to develop intriguing new recipes.

Additionally, throughout the campaign, street sampling activations will provide consumers the chance to try these pastries enhanced with soy.

Awareness
In Ghana, the programme last year successfully taught forty-one (41) bakers from six different areas, and it also included street sampling activations that touched over 2000 individuals statewide.

“Building on this achievement, the ‘Soy Flour for Bread & More’ campaign plans to use the regional trainings to promote the use of soy flour in baking throughout Ghana and raise awareness of its nutritional advantages.
