Despite abdicating her duties in parliament for a number of months, Sarah Adwoa Safo, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency, has voiced hope about keeping her seat.

Following her protracted absence from the legislature, the MP outraged her voters, prompting other New Patriotic Party (NPP) MPs to demand her resignation.
