Despite abdicating her duties in parliament for a number of months, Sarah Adwoa Safo, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency, has voiced hope about keeping her seat.
Following her protracted absence from the legislature, the MP outraged her voters, prompting other New Patriotic Party (NPP) MPs to demand her resignation.
She recently made a suggestion that she could have lost her kid while visiting America.
Speaking to GBC’s Kafui Dayi after the presentation of the 2024 Budget and Financial Statement in parliament, on Wednesday, November 16, 2023, Adwoa Safo made mention that, she was excited about the 2024 Budget and Financial Statement.
When Kafui Dayi asked if her constituents are happy to see her back, she replied in the affirmative “I think they are and I am happy too.”
Asked how her campaign was going, the Dome-Kwabenya legislator retorted, “extremely well”.
“… by God’s grace, I know my people would give me the nod again,” she added.
