Blake Hudson obituary, cause of death

Mr. Blake Palmer Hudson passed away on April 14, 2023. He was born in Shelby, North Carolina on March 31, 1933. He was born to the late  Palmer and Bright Hudson. He is preceded in death by his lovely wife, Patsy Allen Hudson, his sister, Ann Cuthrell and his brother, Ben Hudson.

Blake Hudson was a graduate of Shelby High School. He went on to attend the University of North Carolina. Blake served in the army as a Military Police. He was a graduate of North Carolina State University where he majored in metallurgical engineering.

For so many years, Blake Hudson was an executive at Teledyne Allvac. As a staunch Christian, he was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church for almost six decades. He served as a deacon in the church.

Blake left behind his second wife, Nancy Hudson, three children, Terry Milton (Stewart), David Hudson (Gina) and Linda Kelly (Kris), his stepdaughters, Pam Baker, and Kim Medlin (Terry), a brother, Gerald Hudson (Marjorie), five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, one great-grandson, four step-great-grandchildren.

A Service of Remembrance was held at 3:00 pm on Monday, April 17, 2023, at Shiloh Baptist Church.

Blake Hudson passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and friends. He died as a result of old age. At the time of his death, he was not suffering from any illness. He died of natural causes.
