Blaise Carney was on April 15, 1956, in Dublin, Ireland. When he was just a youth, he showed a great deal of interest in psychology and human behavior. Blaise Carney was the youngest of four children.
He was highly educated. Blaise Carney studied psychology at the prestigious Trinity College Dublin. He went on to obtain a PhD from the University of Cambridge. In 1983, he relocated to the United States. He became a professor of psychology at Harvard University.
Apart from academic pursuits, Blaise Carney actively involved himself in practising therapist and consultant for several organizations and institutions.

Blaise Carney battled with pancreatic cancer. He was diagnosed in 2022. He underwent multiple treatments and surgeries but all prove abortive. He later discontinued the treatment.
He passed away peacefully on November 10, 2023 in his home at Boston. He was 67 years old at the time of his death.
