Unluckily, certain tracks recorded by Ghanaian singer Black Sherif were leaked this month.
Users on social media questioned how the well-known musician’s tracks could be released by dishonest people without his permission.
The 21-year-old spoke his opinions in the open while performing at the University of Ghana.
Black Sherif gave a freestyle rendition of one of the leaked tracks before giving his opinion.
He criticized the perpetrators of these crimes and also lashed out at those who do not want his career to advance.
Black Sherif’s manager, Kweku Frimpong, expressed sorrow over the event but asked his followers to still enjoy the stolen music if they happened to stumble across them because those songs were made for them.
“Some songs I recorded three years ago, two and a half years ago, some babylons have got it and are blasting… So if you hear them somewhere, enjoy it. But if you don’t see me tweet, I never released it,” he indicated.
Black Sherif made a suggestion about putting out additional music, saying that he thinks it would be better than what has been forcibly released on streaming services.
