Coach Yussif Basigi invited 34 players early last month to begin preparations for the tournament. The Black Princesses will face Ivory Coast and Benin in Group A, while Nigeria will face Niger, Burkina Faso, and Togo in Group B. The WAFU Zone B Championship will commence on May 20, 2023, and end on June 3, 2023, in Kumasi.

For the most part, the committee’s visit was aimed at motivating the young players to put in their best effort, and with their support, the Black Princesses can hope for a successful outing at the tournament. This move by the committee also goes to show their commitment to the development of women’s football in Ghana, as they seek to provide the necessary support to the team to ensure their success.

The Black Princesses Management Committee’s visit and donation have undoubtedly provided a morale boost to the team, as they gear up for the competition. With the support of the committee, the players are expected to give a good account of themselves, and hopefully, emerge victorious at the end of the tournament.
