In order to verify the veracity of the party’s delegate album for the Saturday, May 13, 2023 primaries, the Ashanti Regional branch of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) established a special office at the party’s regional office in Kumasi.

The action has become necessary as a result of some issues with the voter’s album that Dr. Kwabena Duffuor’s research team raised after auditing the voter’s albums from each constituency as a potential flagbearer for the party.

To ensure the smooth and successful organisation of the flagbearer and parliamentary primaries across the nation on Saturday, May 13, 2023, and to avoid any potential confusion, this special audit, which is rumoured to have the blessing of the national chairman of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, is expected to check and correct any error in the album.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP), which is currently in power, will receive a clear indication that they are up for election in 2024 if Saturday’s polls go well, the party believes.

On May 13, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the main opposition party, will choose a Flagbearer to represent the group in the elections of 2024.

There are three reputable party members competing for the job.

Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, a former finance minister and governor of Ghana’s central bank (Bank of Ghana), former president John Dramani Mahama, and Kojo Bonsu, the former KMA chairman are among them.
