Bawumia commissions ultra-modern sports complex in Nalerigu

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President and Flagbearer of the NPP, commissioned an ultra-modern sports complex in Nalerigu, the North East Regional Capital, on Sunday, January 7, 2024.

Dr. Bawumia personally built the exquisite building, the first of its type in Nalerigu and its surrounds, for the youth of the community, to boost sports development and relaxation in the region, and it will also be utilized for other social activities.

The facility includes modern sports complex ancillary facilities such as a standard astroturf, changing rooms, a VIP stand, and offices.

Dr. Bawumia was joined by dignitaries such as Minister of Sports and Yagaba Kubore MP Mustapha Ussif, National Chairman of the NPP Stephen Ayesu Ntim, Deputy Minister of Transport and Gushegu MP Hassan Tampuli, former General Secretary of the NPP Kwabena Adjei Agyapong, and others to commission the stadium in front of a packed and appreciative crowd.

Former Black Stars players Stephen Appiah, Laryea Kingston, Asamoah Gyan, and Emmanuel Armah ‘Senegal’ were among the VIP guests that took part in the stadium’s debut football match.

They wowed the crowded stadium with their abilities, bringing back memories of their time with the Black Stars.
