Alan Kyerematen’s (Alan’s) supporters have come under fire from Charles Nii Teiko Tagoe, executive assistant and head of social media at the Office of the President, for Alan’s (Alan’s) absence from the party’s “Walk to Create a Better Ghana” event.

Teiko Tagoe denied claims that the walk, which took place in Mpreaso-Kwahu on Saturday, April 8, 2023, was organised for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in a Facebook post published on Sunday, April 9, 2023.

Alan and the other candidates for the party’s flagbearership post backed out of the walk, he claimed, but that was their own problem.

“For the record: Yesterday’s Arise and Build Unity walk at Kwahu was open to all presidential candidates, according to the organisers.

“Fault your candidate, not the organisers, if your candidate chose not to attend, felt intimidated in some way, or just lacked the stamina and energy to walk from Bepong to Atibie. Parts of the tweet that included images of Dr. Bawumia at the ceremony and the message “Have a happy Easter!” read.

A Facebook argument broke out between the presidential employee and Alan Kyerematen’s fans as a result of his remarks.

Teiko Tagoe was criticised by the Alan supporters for his remarks, and they stated that the walk was planned to help Bawumia’s presidential campaign.
