According to Dr. Anthony Nsiah-Asare, the president’s health adviser, the government’s Agenda 111 initiative has provided the residents of the Nkwanta North District in the Oti Region with a sizable source of employment.
He said this during the Agenda 111 Impact Forum in the Nkwanta North District of the Oti Region’s Kpassa.
President Nana Akufo-Addo launched the Agenda 111 project on August 17, 2021. The initiative’s goal is to build 111 district hospitals around the nation in a respectable 18 months.
Dr. Nsiah-Asare told participants at the conference that this project will not only improve the district’s healthcare situation but will also considerably help in employment growth in the neighborhood.
“When this project started, the contractors employed a lot of our local artisans; the carpenters, masons, steel benders, and most other artisans in other areas. Apart from that, there are people who are also selling pure water, and food for the workers and we have created some jobs in the local community even before the buildings are completed and commissioned,” he said.
