Ghanaian social media commentator and showbiz personality, Afia Schwarzenegger, has been dragged back to court for violating the terms of her freedom in her earlier contempt case. This comes after she was sentenced to 10 days in prison in June 2022 over defamatory remarks she made about Chairman Wontumi.

According to reports, Wontumi had taken legal action against Afia Schwarzenegger for claiming that she had slept with him and that he farts when he ejaculates. As a result, she was ordered to sign a bond of good behavior for 36 months and pay a fine of GHC60,000.

However, it appears that Afia Schwarzenegger may have breached the terms of the bond, as Wontumi’s counsel has issued a new lawsuit seeking to have her punished for continuing contempt. The new court document states that the counsel for the applicant “will move this honourable court for an order praying the honourable court to punish the respondent herein for continuing contempt arising from respondent violation and disobedient to the terms of the judgment of this court.”

This fresh contempt charge against Afia Schwarzenegger is yet another legal battle for the showbiz personality who has been involved in several high-profile controversies over the years. It remains to be seen how this latest development will play out in court.
