The Apenteng Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED) has launched an inquiry into the untimely death of a third-year student.
Prosper Owusu, a Mathematics student, is said to have died at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), where he was sent for medical assistance after injuring himself during some activities in his hall of residence.
According to a university statement, Prosper was among those students from the Opoku Ware II Hall who reportedly engaged in various activities on August 25, 2023.
Prosper was hurt and was sent to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for treatment.
According to the announcement, he died on September 1, 2023.
According to the statement, the concerns surrounding the event at the hall are being examined, and management will offer additional details soon.
The message warned students to avoid actions that put them at danger of harm or death.
It also extended the University’s sincere sympathies to the late Prosper Owusu’s devastated family, students, and friends.
