Residents of the Takoradi suburb of Agric Junction were shocked to find that a security guard by the name of Musa had passed away in the early hours of Saturday, April 29, 2023.
Musa, 51, allegedly hanged himself every day in an incomplete building that he guards.
According to the brother of the deceased, Haruna Seidu, Musa lately began drinking, which has changed his way of life.
He claimed, “Musa came to me yesterday, came to tell me that he (Musa) died, but because he consumes alcohol, he didn’t notice that my father and brother had already passed away, I didn’t take him seriously only to hear of his death this morning.”
The man said, “His master,” the owner of the building he looks over, called me early this morning to let me know that Musa had surrendered himself in. I hurried to the spot to see if it was true.
In an interview, an eyewitness who went by the name Osofo Emma said, “I came early this morning and no one knows what caused him to commit suicide.” All we could see of him was that he was hanging dead.
Musa’s divorced wife is the mother of two of his children.
Given his image as a quiet person, many people were stunned to hear of his passing.
Every time he arrives at work, I invariably run into him. He always says hello to me and has never appeared to be struggling with anything that would lead to suicide, according to a local.
