The Melcom Care Foundation, a division of the Melcom Group of Companies, has given 20,000 brassieres to five Accra senior high schools.
The gift was given to the Achimota Senior High School, Accra Girls Senior High School, Accra Wesley Girls Senior High School, and St. Theresa’s School yesterday at the Melcom Mall in Accra.
The intention of the gesture was to attract attention to a need of the girl kid that had previously gotten less focus.
Assistance System
Godwin Avenorgbo, Group Director of Communications at Melcom, stated during a ceremony to deliver the brassieres to the schools that the main goal of the Melcom Care Foundation was to offer a support system for crucial sectors that could not have otherwise fit within the direct state budget.
He stated that the business held the opinion that the country could devote money to building the capability needed to provide many of the necessities for the younger generation domestically.
“The import cost that is saved may be used to meet the greater and more obvious developmental needs of all Ghanaians.
The help that Melcom Care is offering to five senior high schools “should be seen in this light,” the man stated, “in order to be relevant and timely.”
As part of the foundation’s goals for 2023, Mr. Avenorgbo said that the corporation will keep funding girl-child education in the nation.
Turning to the Melcom Care Foundation, the representatives of the five schools expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the gift.
The Melcom Care Foundation has our sincere thanks, one official stated. “We want to say a big thank you and express our gratitude for such a gesture.”
The brassieres would significantly assist the females and increase their confidence, they continued.
